New to the forums? Stop by here and introduce yourself. Do you play any instruments, or just the radio? <img src="/communityband/ubbthreads/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" /> If you have any questions about how to use the forums (or any other part of the Community Band website), feel free to post a question!
I suppose I'll start out.
My name is Chris, and I've played in the band since 5th grade (17 years). I play a few instruments, but primarily the clarinet and the saxaphone. I'm going to college to become a music teacher. On the side, I like to dabble in computers and web design.
oooo hey mr. mattews i just have to say that this is a good website that you have created and that i am already learning things about this website.
Wow, this is an old message! I've been playing for 21 years now!
Time goes by fast, doesn't it? I've been playing for about 18 years now. Makes you feel old, eh??
That it does! Welcome to the forum!! It's nice to have another music teacher here! We can definitely use your expertise!
all these old people...lol Im just joking.... I've been playing since 5th grade(6yrs)
i've been playing since 6th grade only 4 years
I started playing tuba in the seventh grade. (I won't tell you how long ago that was.) I played through high school, three years in the army, and college, but I haven't played in many years. I don't own a tuba right now, but I've been thinking about finding one and brushing up. I moved to the Eastern Shore a few years ago and need something to occupy some time.
Welcome John! You might be interested in the Accomack Community Band. We practice every Tuesday night in Onancock from 7-9pm. We're currently practicing in the former Onancock High School, and would love to have another tuba! I'm not entirely sure, but I believe we may have a tuba you can use. (I'll double check).
