I have a friend that is a majorette for the Snow Hill band... we have been emailing and I thought I should share a clip from one of the emails...

...It's cool that your band thinks we're great. We practice soo hard. When it was like 40 degrees outside, we went outside to practice on the streets (for turns and blah). We were all frozen! I couldn't feel my butt...haha. But did you hear about the Berlin parade? We lost. It was soo windy, it messed a lot of the people up (majorettes). And to make matters worse (you def. can not tell anyone or ill get in so much trouble, maybe kicked off), It's so wrong...

I just wanted to share with everyone what real dedication to most people is, and that some people should be thankful that when we complain we are not punished...

dedication is so much fun to do
in florida in 90 to 100 degree weather we'd be out there practicing longer then the football team
last year we had one practice during band camp for around 12 hours that was brutal

Yea hot weather can be just as bad as cold!! I used to love marching band practices!! I don't know if I would like 12 hours of it but I could do 5 or 6!!
